The Visual and Performing Arts Program in the School of Arts and Humanities seeks instructors to teach all levels of Dance, Music, Theater and Visual Arts. This is a part-time renewable appointment contingent upon a successful review. Teaching load is 1 to 2 courses per semester of beginning through advanced visual and performing arts courses. Candidates should hold a MA or MFA in chosen field.
An earned graduate degree appropriate to the academic discipline/topic and a record of productivity and professional achievement.
Earned MA or MFA in chosen field. College-level teaching in an institution similar to UT Dallas is preferred.
Prepare and teach undergraduate and/or graduate classes.
Maintain contact with a diverse student population in the classroom and via electronic learning platforms (eLearning).
Contribute assessment information and data as requested through the administration and the Assessment Team.
Participate in course evaluation surveys.
Review of applicants will begin immediately. Official transcripts must be submitted to the Faculty Records Office prior to the first day of official employment for those applicants selected to teach at the University.
